Initial Comprehensive Nutritional Consultation
This initial consultation service consists of a preliminary interview with the patient to determine the reasons for seeking an evaluation including the historical and symptomatic background information leading to the investigation. The entire consultation necessarily involves a detailed explanation of the benefits, protocols and expectations of the nutritional program along with the steps taken to obtain the laboratory sample, retrieve the test results and compile these in to a full nutritional analysis report.
There is also a Symptomatic Questionnaire that can be incorporated into the report. This survey is available on this web site under the health evaluation roll over button on the home page, referred to as the Symptomatic Health Analysis (SHA), and this is discussed further below. The survey questions can also be completed by going to NutraCompute Survey, where the score totals from the questionnaire are then incorporated into the nutritional report. There is no additional charge for this latter feature.
When fully completed under the health evaluation tab, the SHA generates a full report of its own based on subjective symptomatic complaints and historical data reported in the questionnaire by the patient, without the need for blood testing. The charge for this full SHA report is a one time fee of $20. In either case, whether performing the full SHA report or simply incorporating the score totals into the NutraCompute nutritional analysis, a list of lifestyle recommendations will be generated that follow the nutritional recommendations in the report. The benefits of completing this questionnaire should be explained to the patient during this initial visit, and the address of the web site url should be provided as well, with instructions to complete the survey within a week.
The Initial Comprehensive Nutritional Consultation should take about 1 to 1 ½ hours of your time to properly complete. Your patient will be given the requisition slips for the lab test, and a date to collect the fasting blood specimen is scheduled. Once completed, the results from the lab test will be analyzed by NutraCompute and a document copy of the report will be emailed to you for review with the patient.
