Amino Acids are the building blocks for proteins and enzymes. They are essential for tissue repair and structural integrity. Amino Acids are also used to manufacture enzymes, which are important factors in metabolism and the activation of chemical reactions throughout the body and brain. Mental functions are also dependant on amino acids, which are used to manufacture neurotransmitters such as Dopamine and Serotonin.

Preparation Instructions: This specimen should be drawn in a Na Heparin green top tube (supplied in kit) and centrifuged. Then the plasma is transferred to a transfer tube (supplied in kit), which has a label on it that says �freeze immediately upon arrival�. The specimen needs to be refrigerated and then shipped overnight with a frozen cold pack (supplied in kit) to Denver CO and then it will be frozen upon arrival when it arrives at the facility there. The specimen should not be frozen immediately at the draw site unless the draw station is located along the Front Range in CO, where it can be transported in a frozen state directly to the testing facility |
